Originally from the Scottish Borders Marian Anderson is now based in the central belt to be conveniently located for her busy schedule playing at Scottish Country Dances, Ceilidh Dances, weddings and accordion clubs all over Scotland. She also regularly travels overseas including Australia, New Zealand, USA, and all over Europe.
Her lively style of playing is appreciated by the audiences and dancers wherever she goes whether with just her drummer husband (Max Ketchin), or a full five-piece band.
Her music sounds happy, and she always looks as if she is enjoying playing, which communicates itself to the dancers. We adore the lift in her music - even if you are feeling tired at the end of the day once she starts playing you won't want to miss a single dance.
