This Highland institution was started by David Grant in 1974 while studying at the Royal College of Art in London who combined the creative and artistic side of pottery with semi-industrial techniques. The initial work was all plain tableware but the hand-painting, that the pottery is famous for, soon followed. Each artist is able to create their own interpretation of the design to make every piece different, and they are all signed by the artist so are really works of art.

The company make everything from scratch from clay to finished pot in their bases in Lochinver and Ullapool. It makes a fascinating visit to go and watch the pottery being made.

We like to keep a good stock of the Highland Stoneware pottery as it makes excellent Wedding presents or gifts for any other occasion.
