This book by Leah Leneman aims to show the Scottish aspect of the struggle for votes for women. Much of the general knowledge on this subject is very London focussed. The stories that unfold in these pages largely mirror what was going on in London, but it is still surprising how much activity there was in Scotland. Also surprising is the lengths that normally law-abiding women went to for the cause.
