Break It Up is an oustanding album from Rura who won the Up & Coming Artist Award at the 2011 Scots Trad Awards. This five-piece band combines the passions & influences of some of Scotland's most exciting young musicians. The band features two Young Trad Musician of The Year finalists & a Bodhran champion. Rura are Jack Smedley (fiddle); Steven Blake (bagpipes and whistle); Chris Waite (guitar); David Foley (bodhran and flute); and Adam Holmes (vocals and guitar).
They are joined on the album by James Lindsay on bass guitar.
