Muriel Johnstone, B.Mus., L.R.A.M.
The pianist and composer Muriel Johnstone, who hails from Berwickshire, now resides in North America. She is well-known on the Scottish dance music scene both as a solo player and with numerous fine musicians and bands. She was musical director for the Royal Scottish Dance Society for many years. She has recorded with Alasdair Fraser, Chris Duncan, Marian Anderson, Judith Linton, and many others.
She has several books of her tunes published, as well as many CDs.
