Karine Polwart is now an established artiste but when this recording Faultlines was released she was largely unknown, but that soon changed with numerous awards and high profile gigs solo and as a member of Malinky, the Battlefield Band, and The Burns Unit. As ever with Karine she tackles some thorny life issues in her songs, but does so brilliantly and often with humour.
