This is a truly exceptional album - Jim Hunter's particular blend of folk, blues, traditional and rock music, a gathering of musicians and instruments that can only be described as unique and a long hot summer recording in the Scottish Highlands.
Born in Edinburgh, but a long-term resident of the Highlands, Jim played the pipes as a child, then moved onto guitar. He developed a distinctive style of bottle-neck and slide guitar which offsets his bluesy folk songs perfectly.
