Description
Jean Redpath is one of Scotland's foremost interpreters of traditional music. This CD contains the 1st & 2nd volumes in the series 'The Songs Of Robert Burns', part of a project that was planned to document the poet's unique musical contribution of over 300 songs.
Each song was thoroughly researched by Serge Hovey for the correct match of lyrics and tune variant that Burns intended, and sung superbly by Jean.
"An important body of work, wholeheartedly recommended". Folk Roots.
