Author Iain R Thomson was our neighbour when he farmed a few miles west of Beauly (many years ago). He still pops in to the shop to browse the books and music - he is an accordion player himself. He has written several books reminiscing about his life on farms and crofts as well as novels set in the Highlands and Islands of Scotland.
