Compositions of the late Donald MacLeod form the basis for the material in this prestigious competition. Eight top pipers are invited to take part, and this recording features the prizewinners - so they are the best of the best!!
The selected tracks are from the 1st, 2nd & 3rd prizewinners in both the Piobaireachd and March, Strathspey & Reel sections, plus the 1st and 2nd prizewinners in the Hornpipe and Jig section.
