Description

An album of music on the Octave (Baritone) Fiddle from champion fiddler Gavin Pennycook. Gavin was the first Scottish fiddle player to win an All Ireland fiddle title, and in 2012 the Amber Fiddle Award / Niel Gow International Fiddle Composition Award.

The specially strung Octave fiddle has a deep resonant sound with a range, as the title suggests, an octave lower.

With accompaniment from Ewan MacPherson (guitar, Jew's Harp), and John Morran (guitar, mandola).
