Ian Robertson - Fiddle & Accordion

Ian developed a passion for traditional music from an early age, growing up to the sounds of his father's country dance band. He first played fiddle for dancing as part of a family trio and over the years has earned respect as both a band musicial and a solo performer. For 13 years, Ian led Sound Company which was one of the busiest bands in the South of England, recording 3 albums of Scottish Dance Music before taking a break to work overseas.

Now back on the scene, Ian leads his new band on accordion. The old trademarks are here: uncompromising focus on the tempo and phrasing required for dancing, built on great sets of tunes from a wide range of sources.

Rob Alderton - Piano & Bass

Rob has spent his life making music. During his career he has played piano, keyboards and accordion on the world stage as part of the successful chart band sailor, and with stars as diverse as Sir Cliff Richard to Freddie Starr.

Rob's true passion lies in Musical theatre, and it is here that he has spent most of his professional life - as a Musical Director, Pianist and Composer. Playing credits include West End hits such as Les Miserable and Joseph and the Amazing Technicolour Dreamcoat. For Many years Rob Led his own barn dance band, Folklore and less than reverenttake on English Country Dance, popular with the high-spirited young farmers' set.
