Ian Robertson & Rob Alderton - Double Take

An unusual way of creating a full band sound: both of the musicians have played two instruments. Ian Robertson double-takes on fiddle and accordion and Rob plays piano and bass - showing of their amazing musicianship. The equally unusual arrangements make this a doubly interesting CD, yet the album is still in appropriate tempo for dancing to.

Ian Robertson - Fiddle & Accordion

Ian developed a passion for traditional music from an early age, growing up to the sounds of his father's country dance band. He first played fiddle for dancing as part of a family trio and over the years has earned respect as both a band musicial and a solo performer. For 13 years, Ian led Sound Company which was one of the busiest bands in the South of England, recording 3 albums of Scottish Dance Music before taking a break to work overseas.
