Born in Dumfries & Galloway, folk singer Davy Holt now lives in the Highlands of Scotland. Davy started entertaining at an early age and turned professional at the age of 20. Davy’s music has been influenced by great Scottish groups such as Gaberlunzie and The Corries, whose blend of patriotic songs, humour and the ability to hold and entertain an audience are evident in Davy’s performances.

Since turning professional in 2001 Davy has performed all over Scotland, working on the busy ‘Tourist Circuit’ each summer and performing in pubs, hotels and village halls throughout the year. In the past Davy has performed at a number of Folk Festivals including Portpatrick Festival and Milnathort’s Crackin’ Ceilidh Weekend, he has also appeared on BBC Radio Scotland, Heartland FM & Border Television.
